The Simpsons Movie Is On It's Way!
The Simpsons Movie has been rumoured for many years, but finally it is in the works.
In September 2005, Nancy Cartwright (the voice of Bart Simpson), revealed that the Simpsons movie was in it's early stages,
and that a script still hadn't been finished yet.
In March 2006, Harry Shearer (Mr. Burns, Smithers) reported that not just the script had been completed, but all the
voice actors had already recorded their lines!
Just days ago, April 1 to be exact, we found out that a short 25-second promo for Simpsons: The Movie was playing before
the film Ice Age 2. For those of you saying "Oh, yeah, it's just an April Fool's joke...", well it actually isn't! The clip
featured a giant "S" with an announcer saying the biggest thing to ever hit the bigscreen is coming. Suddenly, it zoomed in
on Homer sitting on the couch in his underwear, saying "I forgot my lines!". The announcer then says the movie will be out
July 27th, 2007.
This release date is over a year before the set date (2008), that
IMDB had listed on it's site, which just shows how fast the production is going.
